Earle I. Mack’s Blue Maiden, continues to do well. So far in 2012 Blue Maiden has had one start and one first, coming in first in the fifth race in Keeneland on April 25th. Blue Maiden is the same horse that did well at Nell Gwyn Stakes two years ago, coming in a close second behind Music Show.

”I’m delighted,” former trainer Charlie McBride told BBC news after that race. “She just got held up in her run, a horse came in front of her and took her to the back of the field.”

Blue Maiden was purchased by Earle I. Mack shortly before finishing runner up to Timepiece in the Listed Sandringham Handicap.

Currently trained by Christophe Clement, Blue Maiden was foaled February 24, 2007 and is by Medicean and out of Bluebell, by Generous.
